Another milestone for Pope Benedict

Pope celebrates six years as Bishop of Rome

Today marks the sixth anniversary of the election of Pope Benedict XVI, which comes only a few days after his 84th birthday on April 16.

“One of his great qualities is his profound goodness. When you listen to him or meet him personally there’s a thorough goodness to the man that communicates itself to others,” American Cardinal Raymond Burke said.

The Pope, who was elected April 19, 2005, has a busy schedule in the near future, from Holy Week to the beatification of his predecessor Pope John Paul II on May 1.
