The B.C. Catholic has Kiply Lukan Yaworski's coverage of Catholic Christian Outreach's "Rise Up" conference:
Young adults from across the country gathered in Saskatoon Dec. 28 - Jan. 1 for a Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO) Rise Up national conference, held each year between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

This year for the first time Rise Up happened in two centres, Saskatoon and Halifax, in order to reduce distance and cost for students as well as to give smaller centres an opportunity to host the growing conference, said national CCO president Jeff Lockert of Ottawa. Next year, as CCO marks its 25th anniversary, the Rise Up Conference will again be a single event, to be held in Ottawa, home of CCO national headquarters.

Some 300 students used part of their Christmas holiday to attend the Saskatoon Rise-Up, which featured a range of speakers and break out sessions, as well as times for testimony and praise and worship, the celebration of mass, the sacrament of reconciliation, and eucharistic adoration. Many of the sessions were broadcast on the Internet as well.
