Religious tattoos a sign of holiness?

The B.C. Catholic has a story by Evan Boudreau of the Catholic Register about a Catholic man who shows his faith visibly with multiple religious-themed tattoos:

While getting a tattoo may not be considered the holiest practice, it shouldn't always be perceived as devilish.
"Religious tattoos are a sign of faith," said Jason Gennaro, of "Those who tattoo themselves with Christian symbols of faith are displaying a belief that many try to subjugate and hide."

  1. wonder if the flower my brother has could be considered religious? the cross my female friend has on her ankle hasn't always been seen as a good thing even in church
