Conflict with President Obama and Church continues

Cardinal-elect Dolan repudiates President's "accommodation." 


Cardinal-elect Timothy Dolan.


Citing an "unconstitutional infringement on religious liberty", New York Cardinal-elect Timothy Dolan said, "We bishops are pastors, not politicians, and you can't compromise on principles."

The Cardinal has said that President Obama's revision to the government's contraceptive mandate will not be accepted.

  1. The proposal was such that not only did it not address Catholic concerns, it assumed they were gullible fools. Only those who are looking for excuses to ignore Church teachings could find anything in it to like. Clearly, a wave of anti-Catholic action is forming in The US Administration.
