Six hundred students 'rise up' for Christ

University attendees deepen faith in Saskatoon & Halifax

Post-secondary students from Lower Mainland universities bused to an annual five-day conference in Saskatoon to ring in the New Year. Elizabeth Krump spoke to those who went:
This year's theme: "Fiat: A Yes Can Change the World," examined Our Lady's great yes to becoming the Mother of God. 
The theme was chosen to reflect the Church's Year of Faith and the Holy Father's call to a New Evangelization.
Rise Up organizer Katie Lebrun said the intention of the conference was, "To bring young adults to a place of encounter with Christ and to equip them with tools to share their faith."
