Life bill to get more time

Woodworth postpones vote on M-312 because of mother's grave illness

This Canadian Catholic News story has some good news for pro-lifers. The longer the bill is delayed the more attention the issue will get.

Conservative MP Stephen Woodworth's controversial private member's motion M-312 has been postponed until the fall session because his mother has been gravely ill.

M-312, which calls for the creation of a parliamentary committee to examine the criminal code's definition of a human being in light of the latest scientific and medical evidence, was supposed to come to a vote June 6.
