Church theologian: angels don't have wings

'Angelologist' says heavenly hosts are a 'bit like sunlight'

According to a Church theologian: while angels do exist, they do not have wings and are similar to shards of light.
"I think there is a re-discovery of angels in Christianity," Father Renzo Lavatori said during a conference in Rome last month.
"You do not see angels so much as feel their presence," the clergyman said Father Lavatori, adding: "They are a bit like sunlight that refracts on you through a crystal vase."
The word "angelos" came from the Mycenaean civilization in Greece more than 3,000 years ago; the word means "messenger" in ancient Greek.

  1. Yes, and when people died obits should not refer to them as "now angels in heaven" or the like, humans don't become angels. Often used for children & infants that died in Catholic obits. Learn your faith.
