Mariachi band serenades outgoing pastor of St. Pius X

Many who had been baptized, confirmed, or married by Msgr. Pedro Lopez-Gallo gave him a heartfelt farewell June 9. Their priest, the pastor of St. Pius X Parish since August 1986, will retire from parish ministry in July. In a poignant nod to his Mexican roots, a mariachi band serenaded the sombrero-wearing monsignor during a post-Mass party. For full story see The B.C. Catholic website.
