Society's irony on suicide

Mainstream media views counselling suicide as an evil, unless it's euthanasia
Kenneth William Carr. Abbotsford Police Department.
The media outlets were abuzz yesterday morning after an Abbotsford man was charged with counselling a 40-year-old woman to commit suicide.

Police told Metro News that the woman suffers from depression but said that did not justify the actions of the accused, Kenneth William Carr, in counselling her to take her life.

It's ironic that today's media, which sometimes appears to be in favour of euthanasia, would condemn these actions, but would champion physician-assisted suicide for those who are ill in hospitals.
