Euthanasia Prevention Coalition announces action
|
Gloria Taylor |
EPC director
Alex Schadenberg says his organization is seeking intervenor status on two cases - one involving an elderly grandmother named Kay Carter who went outside Canada to end her life at a Swiss clinic and another of ALS patient
Gloria Taylor who has asked to terminate her life in this country.
The B.C. Civil Liberties Assoc. is trying to change the laws through the courts, said Schadenberg, because the euthanasia lobby has failed to pass a
euthanasia bill in parliament.

Mark Pickup |
Disability activist Mark Pickup, who happens to suffer from the same condition as
Kay Carter, says wants to make sure that his life will not be terminated in case he finds himself despairing and meets up with people who are pushing for the courts to approve physician assisted suicide and euthanasia.
