Remembering deceased infants

St. Matthew's parish holds memorial mass and Teddy Bear Tea June 11th

Lower Mainland Catholics are invited to join families affected by infant death for a special mass June 11th at St. Matthew's Parish. Father Augustine Obiwumma will celebrate the mass, remembering infants and toddlers lost at birth or during pregnancy.

During the mass prayers will also be offered for couples who can not conceive, as well as parents who decide to give babies up for adoption, or waiting to adopt a child. Families are encouraged to enter their deceased child's name in the "Little Book of Life."

St. Matthew's Parish is located 16079 88th Avenue, Surrey. The mass gets started at 5:30 pm followed by the Teddy Bear Tea and Social hosted by Elizabeth Ministries at 6:30 pm.

Be sure to check out the B.C Catholic for upcoming coverage.
