Euthanasia enthusiasts seek law changes

FIGHTING BACK IN THE COURTS


The B.C. Civil Liberties Association has teamed up with a Fort Langley family and a Victoria doctor to attempt to overturn Canada's Assisted Suicide Act. The Carter family flew their ailing and elderly mother to Sweden last year where she received assisted suicide.
Alex Schadenberg, of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition says his group will intervene if the BCCLA achieves court standing.

The EPC will hold a symposium June 3-4 at the Vancouver Marriott Hotel with international speakers discussing how to meet the challenges posed by groups seeking legalization of various forms of mercy killing.
