The media and Pope Benedict

"Don't shoot the messenger," the mainstream media are fond of saying. "We don't make the news, we just report it." It's true that blaming the press for your problems is usually an exercise in futility and a recipe for even more concentrated attacks. There's nothing wrong, however, in asking them to at least get the message straight. Here are some noble attempts from the Catholic press to tell the MSM that their zeal for a juicy story is getting in the way of a few things, such as facts.
